Try uploading a smaller version of the logo – one that fits the size you specify in the CSS. You can also adjust the sizes in the CSS if you want a larger logo.

Try this in your custom CSS to remove the vertical line to the right of the title:

.site-header-inner .site-branding {
     border-right: none;
}

(Sorry wasn’t sure whether to start a new thread for this query ….) I’d like to take the logo one step further and have it change colour each time a user comes back to the site – is that possible with CSS?

Hi Alice, I don’t think that would be possible just with CSS.

I just did a search and found this technique you might want to try in a child theme:
