Display a couple of recent / latest posts on homepage

Hi There, I am on the hunt for a plugin that will enable me to display a few of my clients recent blog entries on the homepage. I have found only one plugin which does this, however the way the code appears on the plugin dashboard page is all over the place and the client will no way understand it. Does anyone know of another one that is any better? Many thanks.
