to answer my own question, this shortcode is possible:
    [iCal g1.ics g2.ics listtype=14]

    see screenshot:

but how can i change the “x” displayed in the list to “busy”?

    another related question is:
is it possible to combine the 2 refresh buttons?

Argh two refresh buttons – one only really needs one as it is just a prompt and both will refresh!

For now, note the html gemerated, untick it off the settings and put one set of the html in manually.

    it is really just a hypertext link < a href=”url?no_cache=true”>icon or text< / a >

Re X for busy days: see the settings page – the one before the list types with the general options.

I’ll update the website doc – first thing I did was jump into the search box and typed in ‘busy’ and nothing useful came up – grrr.

    hi, Anmari,
    1. replace “x” with text:
i believe you are referring to this in the general options
“Free busy text: – replaces the summary text (Busy)in a VFREEBUSY component.”
i try to change it but after i clicked update, it changed back to “x”

    2. two refresh buttons:
after setting “icalrefresh” column under event list type/calendar properties to 0, where do i find this html file and where do i put that hypertext link?
can you please elaborate in detail? much appreciated!

    best,
    fangjun

Hi – thanks for flagging problem with updating the text. Must be very few people (1?) who are using the FREEBUSY – or maybe the others happy with the X!

re refresh – you have two choices – before or after the shortcode in the page using the normal wordpress editor.
