The .wpress export file is 9GB

After uploading it to the new server, once the import starts there’s a log file at
    /wp-content/plugins/all-in-one-wp-migration/storage/error.log that becomes gigantic.

So far I have tried the import twice and have had to stop because I ran out of disk space.

How much disk space do I need to import a 9GB .wpress file, knowing that the total disk usage on the OLD server is about 20GB ?

    Thanks!

  • Hi Webwerk

The server needs 2.5 times the size of your website. So ideally for a 9bg site you would want just above 20GB

    Are you using PHP7.2?

Using PHP Version 7.1.17 on the new server.

The site files on the old server are approx. 20 GB
All In One Migration generated a 9 GB file to export from the old server.
After uploading the single 9 GB .wpress file to the new server, and using All in one migration to import it, I found an error.log file of 34 GB and almost none of the old server content on the new server.

Is All In One Migration not suited for large websites?

    Thanks

    Hi webwerk

What is the PHP version on the old server?
