• Hello all. After installing WP and using it, I would never go back. But I have run into one little snag.
When I have WP open, even to just play with the design code, the disk space on my host will increase by 0.01 megs just about every 5 minutes. I contacted my host, and of course they blamed wordpress. I don’t think this is the case, but thought I would give it a shot and post here.
Has anyone else had a similar experience?

  • Never seen this reported here before, and WP stores data very efficiently.
    0.01 megs ?
Which version ? Which host ?
And how are you measuring that increase ?

delete wordpress and see if it will happen again ??

The host is hasweb.com. I have the latest version of WP. 1.2. I am measuring the increase by looking at my cpanel, then logging out, messing with WP, not changing anything, and logging back into my cpanel after 10 minutes or so. It shows my disk space increased by 0.02 megs.
I know it’s a small amount, but it’s kind of annoying. I will delete WP and see if it still happens.

    heeey
maybe the statistics is the problem!?? Try to delete dir ‘tmp’ and see if the disk space will be lower

    1) What do you mean by “messing around with WP”?
    2) What plugins do you have installed/activated?
    3) Do you have ANY kind of statistical web tracking “things” installed any where?
