    Hello!

I have read a little about the differences between Disk basic and Disk enhanced and I was wondering if there are any clue as of why disk basic appear to be way better in my case.

      Engine Time (ms)
    None 1734.51
    Disk: Basic	39.48 [-97.72%]
    Disk: Enhanced	671.22 [-61.30%]
    	Redis	1765.95 [1.81%]

Disk Basic seem to be way better (multiple runs confirm the results)

The server setup is quite basic, VPS using plesk and nginx/apache with proxy mode enabled, php 8.1 and FPM via Apache.

    Any suggestion/comments?

    Thank you!

    Hello @lyk-1

Thank you for reaching out and I am happy to assist you with this.

I’ll be free to assume that these results are from the W3 Total Cache setup Guide.
It is a bit strange that the Disk: Basic is faster since it invokes a PHP script instead of serving?cached pages using the server’s URL rewriting capabilities, skipping PHP.

So this may be related on your server configuration.

Have you tried testing the TTFB using Gtmetrix and different Caching methods and if the results are the same?

    Thanks!
