• I purchased the pro version more than 1 year ago, and didn’t renew my subscription, being satisfied with the plugin version I had on my website.

Today I wanted to add a new photo gallery, and I was surprised to receive the following message : “to create a gallery, you need to purchase a new subscription”.

It is a shame to intentionally disable the functionality of a paying plugin, just because the user didn’t pay for a renewal. Creating a new gallery is only relying on local plugin resources, and doesn’t involve any cloud-based service. Therefore there is absolutely no justification for having the user pay again for a piece of code he already purchased.

I’ve already paid for many plugins, and this is the first time I’m observing this agressive and unfair commercial policy.

Of course, I will not subscribe ever again, and instead disable this lock from within the PHP code. In addition, I hope that Envira Gallery will be flagged by WordPress as contrary to the plugin rules.

  • Hi @pscolv,

    We’d be happy to help!

It seems that you are using the paid version of Envira Gallery. If you have an active license subscription with us, could you please submit a support ticket through the Envira Gallery account dashboard when you have a chance? For more context, www.remarpro.com’s goal is to ensure that paying customers and free users get the best support they can, from the ones that can give it.?

The www.remarpro.com forum is moderated by volunteers and as volunteers do not have access to the paid products, they recommend reaching out to the authors of the code, as the issues you are having involve paid gated features, it is better to avoid mixing it with the features of a free plugin or theme.

Envira Gallery Lite doesn’t have a paid gated feature for creating new galleries.
