• Hi there!

First of all: thanks for the great work. I love the plugin and it has by far the best interface of all the shortcode guis.

The only thing which is quite annoying while using it is that it uses a “do” shortcode with attributes, rather than a real unique shortcode. This has a lot of obvious disadvantages, with nested shortcodes being the most obvious. But there’s more:

    • Nesting only possible with workaround (not something you enjoy explaining to other users/clients…)
    • Shortcode always needs closing
    • More advanced usage sometimes not possible, e.g. integration with Visual Composer

Maybe the creator wants to comment why he chose to go that road? There must be a reason that I don’t see (because I don’t see any!).

Any chance of having an option with real shortcodes rather than attributes?
Someone out there who could imagine working on a fork of the plugin? I could imagine contributing in form of a donation.

Or am I the only one bothered by this?

    Cheers,
    Philipp

  • Hey Philipp. I completely agree. This plugin provides the cleanest UI for my clients and has good settings, but the shortcodes are relatively long and complex and the lack of updates is worrying. For those reasons I’m not sure if I’ll want to commit to using it. Switching away from this kind of plugin after it’s been used in content is a pain after all.
