Discussion Options can not be modified->Error on update

  • Hi,
    ever since I updated to the latest wordpress (2.02) I have this strange problem that I cannot edit my Comments Discussion section in WordPress. The Page comes up correctly and all options appear to be there and can be edited, however when I press the “Update Options” button to save my pages I get redirected to:
    https://germanjulian.com/wp-admin/options.php
    and get the following error message:
    412 Precondition Failed
    The precondition on the request for the URL /wp-admin/options.php evaluated to false.

  • Weird–maybe delete the wp-content/cache folder if it exists. Try clearing your browser cache and cookies.

    well I tried this and also deleted and updated the wp_admin folder ones more and still no luck.
    very weird.

    can i set the options in the mysql database manually? All I want to change is that i have to accept each comment before it appears in the blog.
    everything works fine on the blog though it seems… odd odd

    Do you have any plugins installed? Such as Bad Behavior?

    I have the same problem now with the latest WP, but the Error page is simply 404. Precisely, my browser says ‘404’ after klicking ‘save changes’ on any of the ‘options’ tab. What could be the problem?
