Discrepancy in Sales Tracking with Meta for WooCommerce Plugin

    Dear Support Team,

    I am using the Meta for WooCommerce plugin to integrate my WooCommerce website with Meta for tracking and running ads. The configuration appears to be set up correctly, and events like Pixel and Catalog integration have been implemented as per the plugin’s instructions.

    However, I am facing a serious issue:

    When I run sales campaigns on Meta, it shows that 10-15 purchases have occurred, but in reality, there are no actual sales recorded on my website.
    This discrepancy is causing financial loss as I am spending money on ads, but my website is not generating any sales, and Meta continues to track conversions incorrectly.
    I have verified my Pixel setup, and it seems that the Purchase event is not being tracked accurately. Despite this, the Ads Manager reports sales that do not exist.

    I kindly request you to:

    Review my website’s configuration remotely or guide me on how to provide temporary access (ID and password) for troubleshooting.
    Confirm if there are any known issues with the plugin that might be causing duplicate or inaccurate event tracking.
    Suggest any additional steps I can take to resolve this problem.
    Please let me know how to proceed. Your assistance in resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated.

    Dear Marija,

    I hope you are doing well.

    I am following up on the issue I mentioned earlier regarding Facebook Pixel integration with my WooCommerce store. I have attached the System Status Report as requested to help you troubleshoot the issue.

    In the last 4 days, my Facebook Ads dashboard is showing 15 sales generated through the ads, but unfortunately, no actual sales have occurred on my WooCommerce store or website. I believe there may be a problem with the Pixel tracking or integration.

    Could you kindly assist in reviewing the System Status and help me ensure that the Pixel is properly tracking the correct events? Any guidance you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

    Hey, could you please go to?Commerce Manager?and open the catalog connected with the ‘Facebook For WooCommerce’ plugin? Then, navigate to the Events tab, where you’ll see that a few issues related to your pixel setups are highlighted.

    I am writing to seek assistance regarding an ongoing issue with my Facebook Pixel setup. I have integrated the Pixel on my WooCommerce website using the Facebook for WooCommerce plugin as well as the Pixel Cat Lite plugin for tracking events. Despite these integrations, I am seeing several critical issues in my Commerce Manager.

    In the Commerce Manager, I am encountering the following errors:

    AddToCart events weren't received in the last 7 days.
    Purchase events weren't received in the last 7 days.
    ViewContent events weren't received in the last 7 days.
    Each of these errors indicates that my Pixel might not be sending events from my website, and when I click on the "How to Fix This Issue" prompt, it directs me to verify that the Pixel is set up correctly and to use the Meta Pixel Helper to check the events.

    I have already used the Meta Pixel Helper, and I’ve verified that the Pixel code is installed on the website, but I still see these errors.

    I would also like to confirm whether there might be a conflict between the Facebook for WooCommerce plugin and the Pixel Cat Lite plugin installed on my website. Since both plugins are involved in Pixel integration, could there be a potential conflict between them that is causing these issues?

    Additionally, I noticed that there has not been an update for the Facebook for WooCommerce plugin for a while. Given that WooCommerce updates frequently, could it be possible that the plugin is not compatible with the latest version of WooCommerce, which might be contributing to the errors I am encountering?

    I would appreciate your assistance in resolving these issues as they are affecting the accuracy of my tracking, especially for critical events like AddToCart, Purchase, and ViewContent.

    Please advise me on the steps to resolve these issues, and whether I need to take any actions regarding the plugins or Pixel configuration. Your prompt support will be greatly appreciated.

    Hi, I’ve enabled Event Matching for your Catalog. You can expect to see events start getting matched within the next 48 hours.

    I noticed that there are only 60 products in your catalog. To improve the event match rate, please ensure that you share all of your WooCommerce products.

    From the snapshots, I can see that you’ve explored the Events tab in Commerce Manager. You can click the ‘View In Events Manager’ button to better diagnose the events we’re receiving.

    I don’t think the issue you’re facing is due to any version compatibility issues.

    Could you please share a snapshot showing that 10-15 purchases have occurred? I’ll escalate this internally to the right support queue.

    Event Matching and Commerce Manager:
    You mentioned that Event Matching has been enabled, and I should expect to see events start getting matched within 48 hours. However, when I check the Commerce Manager, I am still seeing the same three critical issues (AddToCart, Purchase, ViewContent) with no updates.

    Catalog Size:
    You mentioned that there are only 60 products in my catalog. This is accurate as of now, and I currently have only 60 products listed in WooCommerce. Since I only have 60 products at the moment, that is why the catalog is showing 60. I will ensure to update the catalog once I add more products in the future.


    Snapshot of 10-15 Purchases:

    As requested, I have shared a snapshot showing that 10-12 purchases are being tracked in Meta Ads Manager, but I want to clarify that, in reality, there have been no actual sales on my website through Meta Ads at this point.     Pixel Cat Lite Plugin:
    As per your suggestion, I have disabled the Pixel Cat Lite plugin, as I suspect that it could be conflicting with the Facebook Pixel tracking. I hope this will help resolve the issue.


    Given the above information, could you kindly perform a final diagnosis and guide me on the next steps? What else should I do to ensure the Pixel events (AddToCart, Purchase, ViewContent) are being tracked correctly, and how can I get my WooCommerce store to reflect actual sales from Meta Ads?

    When I checked the Commerce Manager, I noticed that the “Product View” event is showing 100%, but the “Add to Cart” and “Purchase” events are still missing. I have attached an updated image link for your reference.

    This indicates that your ‘Product View’ events are being correctly attributed to Catalog items, whereas other events are not maybe they are not being sent. It will work fine once we start getting their events.

    Regarding the original issue, have the Purchase events started getting correctly attributed to your Ads now? Did disabling the Pixel Cat Lite plugin resolve the problem?

    Hello Team,

    As per our previous communication, I have uninstalled the Pixel Cat Lite plugin. However, I am still encountering an issue with Purchase event tracking. As you can see in the screenshot attached, I placed a demo order on the website to test the tracking of the Purchase event. In the event data, it shows “3” sales, meaning the website is reporting 3 sales, but in reality, only 1 purchase has occurred, and that’s the demo order I just placed.

    The issue is that the system is showing 3 sales even though only 1 purchase has been made on the website. This discrepancy is causing major issues with tracking through ads.

    Could you please check the tracking setup again and look into this issue? It would be great if you could resolve this as soon as possible to avoid any further complications.

    Dear Facebook for WooCommerce Support Team,

    I hope you’re doing well. I am writing to follow up on my previous emails regarding the ongoing issue with Purchase event tracking.

    Despite following all the suggested steps and settings, I am still encountering discrepancies in the event tracking. I recently ran Meta ads again, and while the website recorded 2 actual purchases, the Meta Ads platform is showing 5 purchases. This issue is preventing the accurate tracking of my ads, which is causing complications with my campaigns.

    To provide further clarity, I am sending you the screenshot of both Meta and WooCommerce eStore. As you will see, the website recorded 5 sales, with 1 direct and 2-3 from Google paid ads, but only 2 sales were from Meta ads, specifically from the “founder video” ad (clearly marked). However, in Meta Ads Manager, it is showing 5 purchases for the same ad, which is incorrect.
