• Hello,

is there a way to discourage google bots from crawling the English part of the site (it’s the secondary language and it isn’t implemented yet)… Without removing it (the structure is already there). Now the first indexed page is the English homepage.

Should be done from polylang options, .httacces or robots.txt?

  • Polylang Pro, the paid version, has this feature included in the setting.
Otherwise you should do it in htaccess – it is more secure then dissalow crawling in robots.txt.

Thank you The Coder, any hints on what to look on google for htaccess. Should i do a temporary redirect (302)?
