Discounts doubling in cart on demo

    This plugin showed a lot of potential and after comparing so many I was excited to test and implement on my website. However basic discount rules don’t show correctly on the cart in your demo. Not even the default rules.

    The use case I was testing was adding 10 items to cart so it would trigger the Bulk / Tier discount. I disabled all other discount rules. This worked fine. I then changed the setting in the discount rule to show as coupon not affect product price. This made it show twice in the cart and doubled the discount. I also wanted to be able to use another individual coupon code – so I used your default ‘blackfriday22’ from the demo, and this didn’t work, it showed in the cart but with no discount value.

    I then changed the setting Apply highest discount only to apply all discounts, then the blackfriday discount showed, but it showed twice also!

    Disappointing as I expected a lot more from a plugin installed so many times with so many positive reviews. No updates in 2 months either, worried there will be bugs all over.

    After conducting a thorough check on our demo, we have confirmed that the discount is correctly applying through Bulk/Tier Discount, even when the option “Show discount in cart as coupon instead of changing the product price?” is enabled. We have recorded a video screencast to demonstrate this:

    It is possible that you may have entered different text in the “Discount label” and “Coupon” conditions, resulting in two labels being displayed. However, please note that the discount will only be applied once. To avoid this, you can simply use the same text in both fields as shown in the above video.

    I hope this clarifies any confusion. We are pleased to inform you that we will be releasing a new version of discount rules within the next week or two. Please rest assured that the current version (2.6.3) is free of any bugs or issues.

    Additionally, we are actively working on V3 of Discount Rules with a new user interface and improved workflow. This may be the reason for the delay in releasing V2, but I can assure you that the recent version is functioning smoothly.

    Thank you for the thorough response and detail. Indeed it seems like using a different label for the discount causes it to show twice. Keeping it the same works fine. We tested from our side as well and this is workable for us, so we have gone ahead with implementing for our website. Look forward to it the new versions as well. Thanks again.
