Just a quick question, if I signup for a new license at the 25% off rate, will that be reflected in the recurring payment 12 months from now? Or will it be back to regular price?

    Hello,

    That’s a good question…

The automatic renewal is setup to be 30% less than the current default price; so in comparison, the renewal rate would be lower than any discount offered at the moment.

    Cheers.

Thanks for the reply, will take that into consideration. Quick note: with the current pricing ($105), plus an SSL Cert ($75 from MT), you’re priced the same as the new Freshbooks ($15/month). Definitely interested in rolling my own solution, but hard to make the argument it’s worth it…

Yeah, I agree pricing can be tough to justify if you don’t already have a WordPress site setup.

However, if you do have a WP site setup (which should have SSL for security and SEO purposes) than you just need to purchase a license.

Also, if you have a lot of contacts (or at least 6) than Freshbooks can get really expensive.

This is true, SSL is pretty much a necessity. Well thanks for the replies, will give this some thought!
