Discount for child categories

    Hello,
    I have 2 main categories (sections) in the store and about hundred child categories organized into tree-view structure. And child categories can be changed dynamically while sincronization with client’s warehouse system.

    I need the discount rule to be applied to all products in one of main sections (for all products in all categories that have the same parent category).
    How can I do it without manually listing and controlling hundred of categories in the rule’s settings?

    Just to confirm, should the discount be applied only if the product belongs to both the parent and child category?

    If you want the discount to be applied to categories, you can choose only the parent category in the rule setup. When the parent category is chosen, the discount will be applied to child categories as well.

    Can you please open a support ticket with screenshots of the category creation and discount scenario, so that one of our support engineers will help you on the possible solutions.

    Discount should be applyed if the prodict is in any of child categories.
    If I choose only parent category in the discount rule, the discount isn’t applyed.

    1) When only parent category is selected:
