Discount Codes and Advance ticket Sales

I’m playing/testing My Tickets. Great App. I’m wondering about a couple things that I would appreciate getting anyone’s response that is using the app. I would like to sell advance tickets at a lower cost for a period of time, then increase the price as it gets closer to the event. Would I use “Ticket Settings,” “Default Ticket Settings” to expire the ticket by the number of hours before the event? Is there a limit to number of hours? When the ticket hits that time, does it disappear from the ticket page? Would I have to created the new ticket when the other expires? Also, does My Ticket have a discount code option for special sales? If not, will some other plug in work with My Tickets?
