Hi, I have a problem with the plugin.

Up to number #47 everything is ok then #1 –> #9 were created and then instead of #10 #48 and #49 were created.

How can I get the correct numbering back? It would be useful to have the progressive since it also coincides with the new year 2025.

    Thanks!

    Hi @lavder,

    Thanks for reaching out.

We were unable to replicate the issue, but it appears that the sequence might have been impacted by resetting the start number. For instance, if the sequence initially began at 10 and continued to 47, resetting it to 1 would cause the numbering to restart from 1. Since orders 1 to 9 were not created, the sequence ran from 1 to 9. However, as the Sequential Order Numbers plugin relies on an incremental counter, it checks previously created order numbers. In your case, it likely resumed with order numbers 48, 49, and so on. Please confirm if this aligns with your situation.

Also, note that deleting previously created orders does not remove the saved order numbers. If needed, you can start a new sequence using prefixes to meet your requirements.

Hi @webtoffeesupport and thanks for your reply.

Yes I think that this is the current situation. Since I need to have a separate numeration from year to year, how can I edit the current numbers to match?

How can I start a new sequence (like 0001) only for the 2025 orders?

    Thanks for your support

    Hi @lavder,

The basic version of the plugin currently does not offer the option to reset the sequential order number.

However, you may create a new order number sequence by adding a prefix or suffix to distinguish the new series starting from “1.” Alternatively, you can adjust the order number length to meet your requirement. For example, you could set the order number length to 4 and the starting number to “1,” which would create a sequence beginning from “0001,” provided no previous order with “0001” exists.

Hi @webtoffeesupport and thanks for your reply.

Ok, I’ll evaluate the purchasing of the plugin, but how can I edit the 2025’s orders so that the can be 0001-0002-0003 and so on?

    Thanks,

    Hi @lavder,

As mentioned earlier, since you have not yet generated a sequence starting from 0001, 0002, …, 0008, you can adjust the order number length in the plugin settings to meet your requirements.

For example, you can set the order number length to 4 and the starting number to 1, which would create a sequence beginning from 0001, provided no previous order with 0001 exists.

Since you have generated order numbers up to 9 for this year, you can set the next starting number in the plugin’s Start Number option to 10 and the order number length to 4. This will ensure that the sequence continues as 0010, 0011, 0012, and so on.

Additionally, if your query is regarding the functionality in the premium version of the plugin, as it’s not advisable to discuss the premium features in the forum, you may reach out to our support team through this?link?for more information and assistance with your query.?Our team will be happy to help you and provide any assistance you may need.
