• Hello SaffireTech team!

Thanks for reading these notes! I know this is a free support forum so please feel free to reply whenever able. ??

I made a quick (90sec) screen recording that I hope will help describe what we are experiencing: Discontinued Message not showing on Elementor-designed Product Page

We designed the WooCommerce product pages with Elementor’s Theme Builder, and used the Product Stock element/widget to display stock. This works great for “Out of Stock” messages, but it doesn’t seem to show the “Discontinued” global message from the plugin when an item is marked as Discontinued.

Would you all happen to know if the Discontinued Product Stock Status for WooCommerce plugin integrates/works with an Elementor-built Product Page?

Can you tell from the video if perhaps I have marked the discontinued product improperly somehow?

Thank you so much for any reply as able!

  • Exactly the same problem / issue. It would be great if someone could follow up on this but understand this is a free plugin.

Still no support for displaying the message when using Elementor…

@calebweeks We know it has been like a year and we really apologize for the delay in our response. Actually the label of that setting was a bit confusing. It is an advanced setting that allows you to automatically discontinue product once the stock reaches zero. We have fixed this label in recent version of the plugin. In your video, we checked that the product quantity was ‘1’ and as a result it didn’t show the discontinued message because it only makes a product discontinued once the quanitty hits zero.

If you wanted to directly discontinued product immediately regardless of the quantity, you can do that directly do that using the setting in this screenshot.

If you are still facing issues, please free to reach out.

@jamesc91 @fromb Apologies for the late response. For the Elementor, we couldn’t do that because Elementor didn’t provide us any action / filter hook that we could use to make it compatible.
As a result, we are working on creating a custom shortcode that you can put directly in your elementor product page which will show the discontinued message. You can expect the shortcode update to be released by the end of the next week.

Please feel free to reachout if you face any issues.

    Hi @saffiretech!

Thank you so much for writing back and providing the screenshot you did even after all this time! We really appreciate it as there was zero expectation for you to do so with everything being free, so thank you again!

I realized just today that my screen recording from my original post unintentionally had no audio with it! Please forgive me as I am sure that would have helped.

We are actually in a similar boat as @jamesc91 and @fromb where having a Discontinued Stock Status “shortcode” would be great for our need to incorporate it into the Elementor page builder. A shortcode would be a great/flexible way to allow the plugin to integrate with almost any other plugin or page builder already out there, etc. so that would be great!

We know it might be a PRO feature, but if you all would consider putting it in the free version, of course we would all be grateful, but we understand either way.

Thank you again for reading these notes as able, and we will look forward to however you decide to improve upon the great work you have already done.

    Thank you!

@calebweeks @jamesc91 @fromb Thank you for your patience and understanding. We have finally released a feature in our PRO version which comes with a seperate shortcode that works well with custom product pages that are built using Elementor Builder or any other builder/ theme.

To see how it works, you can check it here.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
