    Hello everyone,

I have a question about the “disconnect account” function.

I have come to a situation where I will need to login with a different account, but I am not sure if disconnecting the current account will cause issues with the store. So if I were to disconnect the current account, will there be any issues with the store or order history?

    Hi @koulukangastukku ,

Thanks for your question! Just to make sure we’re on the same page, you’re asking about disconnecting your WooCommerce.com account, right? Not a different account (like those from extensions/plugins) connected with Woo?

If yes, disconnecting your current account and logging in with a different one typically won’t affect your store data or order history, as these are stored on your site’s database.

However, you should ensure any connected services or subscriptions are transferred to the new account to maintain functionality. It’s also important to back up your site before making any changes. If you have any active services, subscriptions, or extensions tied to your WordPress.com account, you’ll need to transfer or reconnect them after the account change to avoid any disruption.

Furthermore, I would suggest creating a support ticket here for more guidance/help about disconnecting a store from your WooCommerce.com account.

    Hi,

    Thank you for the reply.

The account I am asking about is the one signed in the WooCommerce’s plugin page. I only have one plugin subscription under the account that I wish to use. The account that is currently signed in does not have any subscriptions.

    Hey @koulukangastukku ,

Thanks for clarifying! Since there are no active subscriptions on the account currently connected, and the active subscription is on the new account you wish to use on your site, there shouldn’t be any disruptions. As @reynierc mentioned, nothing on your site itself (order history, customers etc.) will be affected as this info is stored in the database.

I hope this helps, and if you have any other questions about your WooCommerce.com account, please reach out to us directly via?WooCommerce.com → My Account → Support.

    Cheers!
