    Hello,
i am a big fan of wordpress for many years and i develop hundred of websites with it. The functions core update over the years where mostly very usefull but this update to the Additional CSS – Editor is disastrous.

Normaly you type in your changes and the livepreview shows this changes immediately.
This function is gone now with 4.9.
Now you have to save, publish and copy a link to see any changes you made. And even then the site won’t update when the customizer is open.
That means, changes take up 10 times longer to see any results with any changes you make. Even if you want to test for example font-size: 10px to 12px. Save, copy link, open in new windows.
    The workflow is disastrous.
Please, Please, Please. Fixed that or let me deactivate this new feature.
I tried to deactivate the new ” Disable syntax highlighting when editing code” – Feature in the user section, but it dosen’t brought back this essential Feature you need, when you edit and styling of any wordpress theme.

    greetings
    EYEQ

    Hi,

I’m able to see live previews as I type in my CSS, both with the syntax highlighter enabled and disabled.

Have you made sure to clear your caches, alternatively try disabling your plugins to see if one of them has a conflict causing problems?
