• This plugin was a disaster to start. First it changed all the posts order to chronological after I used the “order reset”. Could not get it to change back no matter what I did. I disabled plugin, no change, I needed it to get back to the default order of WordPress. After a ton of messing around I decided to delete the plugin, then I see it deleted ALL my categories and tags! NONE of my categories exist at all so all my posts are assigned to nothing.

BEWARE! I can not believe 200,000 users of this plugin like it. Even the drag and drop is funky, it only works on a fresh reload of the “All Posts Page”.

  • Hi @jacguerrant,

    Thank you for your review.
I want to take a moment to apologize for all the trouble.
While this feedback is not one we hoped to receive, we want to improve the plugin and hopefully stop this from happening to other users.

This should not have happened and other users did not report this issue. We want to reproduce this on our end and investigate further, because at the moment we could not – it seems to be working fine. Without being able to replicate the same behavior on our end, our developers have no way of being able to find the issue and fix it. Also, this issue may be the result of a conflict with the theme or another installed plugin. Is it possible to let me know what plugins do you have installed on our site and the theme you are using?
I hope it will help clarify the situation.

    Warmly,
    Mihaela

I had a very similar experience today, I downloaded the plugin in order to order posts that are in custom categories, it didn’t work. Then I deleted the plugin and all my categories and post were deleted with it, luckily I thought to re-download the plugin and sure enough my categories and tags came back. Now I have it installed for fear of deleting it.

    The plugins I have installed:
    Advanced Custom Fields PRO
    Blubrry PowerPress
    Categories Images
    Content Control
    Custom Taxonomy Order
    Gravity Forms
    Gravity Forms Mailchimp Add-On
    Simple Custom Post Order
    Theme My Login
    Vimeotheque Lite
    WooCommerce
    Woocommerce Stripe Gateway
    WP Extended Search

I also re-stalled the plugin and got the categories and tags back, then I went and deleted the plugin via FTP and it all stayed. Also note that i tried to add a new category, before I reinstalled, and it would not save it, it appeared to save the category but then when I went back to look it disappeared.

These are the plugins I have. Note I disabled Post Types Order to try this one as I thought there might be a conflict.
