Disasble right-click on H5P download

  • Hello,

    Is it possible to disable right click on H5P content?

    For example the text on the quizzes can be easily copied or the images in the presentations can also be downloaded. I don’t want that to be possible.

    I used a right-click protection plugin but it doesn’t exten to H5P content.

    Is there a way I can protect my H5P content by disabling downloads/right-clicks?

  • @ace63 You could add custom scripts and custom stylesheets using the alter_scripts/alter_styles hooks (https://h5p.org/wordpress-customization) that H5P provides and use those to override the dragstart and contextmenu listeners, the user-select property of DOM elements, etc.

    However, that doesn’t really protect anything. All a user needs to do is open the browser’s development tools (usually by pressing F12) and he/she can download anything by inspecting the page or the files that have been loaded over the network.
