• I enjoy WordPress and all the work you guys put into this program but your so-called support is non-existent… at least for me. I realize there’s a lot of posts here. So SOMEBODY has to be getting help somewhere.

    I don’t understand what I’m doing wrong but I can’t get even a “piss off” or ANYTHING. I’ve been making help requests for literally months here and NOBODY f’n EVER responds to anything.

    I’ve reacted like this before unjustly out of frustration on other forums that offer “support” but I don’t think I’m over-reacting this time.

    I mean I can’t even get a reply telling me to shove it? I just don’t understand this one.

    But either way, I realize this is all voluntary and I do deeply appreciate the work that’s put into this program but I think I’m not going over board by being totally disappointed with the support forum.

    Most of the replies are Kut himself… Only one of the replies isn’t him, and its complaining about something else. Not your best move posting that one homie.

    His point is this. If you have a site that says “Hey, come here w/ your issues w/ our product and we’ll see what we can do” and then you don’t actually do anything to help… ?

    This is like going to the manager at a restaurant because your food was unsatisfactory only to have him/her tell you “sorry I didn’t cook it, don’t know what to tell you”

    Simple, because as I’ve said probably 10 times now, I haven’t gotten a reply in a over a year. Zero replies from anyone considered “support”. Now that I complained about it, you and a few others found some time to reply. It’s an easy to understand concept.

    It doesn’t really matter to me if I posted a question per day for a year or posted 2-4 questions in the span of a year, that’s irrelevant. The fact is, in over a year of me being here, nobody’s responded to my questions regarding support. This is a support forum, I don’t have much reason to come here for anything else. A couple of people suggested that I join up and offer support to help, well, I have if you check my posting history. When I happen find a topic that helps me, I make sure to reply and let everyone know it worked or not. I suppose that doesn’t count as being helpful to you?

    As as far as you saying this.

    i dont think anyone that’ replied has gotten defensive. theres no reason to — we dont have an obligation, its not a job, threes no expectation, so there’s nothing to get defensive about.

    I think that pretty much sums up my entire point. Maybe nobody feels an obligation to do anything, which is fine. But to me that breaks a commitment being this forum is called “support”.

    As much as I enjoy a good debate, this is probably one of the more pointless so I’m not going to keep going back and forth to the same effect with you, sir. It’s accomplishing nothing. I’m not trying to make enemies here, but I’m also not just going to clam up and say nothing when I see something wrong.

    I posted my feedback, and if you agree or disagree then that’s the nature of feedback. It’s my opinion, I don’t expect everyone to agree with it, especially the supporters of this forum as you obviously are.

    If you don’t see anything broken here, then why fix it right?

    i get a bit fed up with the number of posts i make in reply to support posts on the forums that then get no further response or a ‘ta for the pointers’. that’s happened to me countless times, not just a handful. poor me.

    I have recently started answering as many questions as I can but, if I don’t know I’m not going to write a post all about how I don’t know the answer. Oh I have to say that it is a bit insulting that you demand that we answer your thread. We get to as many as we can. wait be patient, and great things will soon happen.

    Looking at your prior posts, I don’t think you did either. I think you are just easily disappointed if you don’t get what you ask of others.

    I agree. It would be nice to see “resolved” from more folks that you have tried to help sometimes, just to know if your advice was somewhere in the ball park or not.

    Yup, that’s me. Easily disappointed. I also think there’s quite a few people here that are easily insulted if anything besides praise is posted here.

    That’s what you dont seem to understand. You don’t own me, and neither does WordPress. (in the general sense, me could be anyone here)

    Its all well and fine to think that “WordPress” TM has shirked a promise of support, by not having the likes of Matt around.

    Where youre going is somewhere else…

    Im trying to explain to you that youre complaining to the wrong people, and about the wrong people. Who in this thread promised you anything that they havent followed thru on?

    Speaking of praise, have you used the search box yet? How do you think all that content actually got there? Gremlins? Mice? What?
    Honestly, you OUGHT to be praising the regulars around here, instead of making remarks as to how you think our time would be better spent.

    Lets be honest, you want an answer, and you want it when you want it? Fair enough. Then hire someone. Thats how capitalism works.

    If not, take a ticket, and stand in line. And dont feed the lions.

    Out of curiosity… What’s YOUR point?

    Is your point that nothing is wrong and I should just shut my negative trap? Or is your point that this is a free support forum and nobody here owes anyone anything, thus nobody should ever dare utter a complaint or voice a concern? Nobody has a right to have an unpleasant experience here because it’s free, right?

    I don’t care to even entertain that question you asked about me using the search box. As if I haven’t tried everything I can think of before coming to a forum that is rarely of any assistance. Sounds like you’re taking this personal, which is a bit odd to say the least.

    I should praise the regulars? In fact, I HAVE praised those that came to my assistance (finally) and I’ve praised those that have helped me in a couple of other threads here as well where I didn’t specifically ask for assistance. What you seem to want is for me to not say anything negative at all because nobody is allowed to voice an unpleasant concern here, apparently. Maybe this board’s name should be changed from feedback to “praise only”.

    I’m complaining to the wrong people? Is this NOT the WordPress support forum? This is NOT the feedback board? Well, then where, pray tell is the correct place?

    I do concede that this is a free service, so I should expect nothing. So I don’t anymore. I expect nothing.

    If you’re getting tired of complaining here you can always stop using WordPress and get your money back. Oh.. I forgot, its free LOL ??

    If not yet tired, feel free to complain as you please. Perhaps it can make WP hire more people as a support team here. But small chance, I doubt it ??
