• A few years ago, I first tried AI1EC because I loved its presentation – specially the posterboard display.
I had divided our local community events diary into several different google calendars so that update authority could be delegated to different people.
AI1EC’s ability to display feeds from several google calendars was key.

At that time I didn’t go ahead with AI1EC because it had problems with times zones especially displaying event times either side of the change between daylight savings time and GMT, and performance wasn’t great.

Coming back to try AI1EC again recently, I still love the user interface but I discover that posterboard display and the ability to combine several google calendars are now only available for an annual charge.

Obviously Time.ly have to fund development, but why can’t they adopt the model of MailChimp and MailPoet and deliver a pretty-much full-function product without charge to every organisation below a certain size? Or the CodeCanyon model whereby you pay a one-off charge and receive indefinite updates?

I am building sites for small non-profits and cannot commit my successors to on-going fees.
