Disappointing
-
After installing the newest version, 3.0, it has no social login options without being forced to pay $79 per year as part of their premium package. Why would I want to spend an additional $79 per year for social login options for my website’s users when I already have a free social login plugin that works effectively?
Worse though is installing the 3.0 version because it requires new webpages to be created to function effectively, which overrides my previous login page that has social login buttons that are no longer accessible to my users.
The other immediate issue with the newest 3.0 plugin version is that even though I have a local, default avatar for registrants who didn’t supply their own, the plugin does not consistently use it. In others words, some user accounts with no avatars assume the local one I’ve provided while others are inconsistently left blank.
For both reasons mentioned above, the newest 3.0 version plugin is not an improvement for my website. Consequently, I was forced to restore yesterday’s website backup to remove the mess that the 3.0 version plugin caused.
