• On first launch, CRP conflicted with my theme (the WordPress-designed Writr) and displayed mostly a text page. Followed the forum’s suggested fix and that cleared up the issues, thankfully.

Then, CRP kept displaying thumbnails, even with “text only” selected and all caches cleared. Seemed to pull those thumbnails haphazardly, too, more often substituting a generic image when an inline image exists.

Plus, the results were poor compared to my previous related-posts plugin, YARPP. “Poor” as in “not even close.” No CRP config mods improved the results.

All the positive reviews and the suggestion that CRP was better optimized than YARPP brought me here. At least I was getting perfect links returned before, even if the performance of YARPP is less than ideal.

    Oh well. Will keep looking.

    Hi,

Can you point me to the forum fix that made CRP work with Writr. Obviously, if an issue exists, I’m keen to ensure the plugin works well.

Regarding pulling the thumbnails, if you have a default styles on, you can’t turn the text only mode on. You need to disable the default styles first. The red text that displays on several of these options will be modified still further in the next version to make it clearer.

On the search results, I guess then YARPP would probably be better suited. Although, CRP does it’s best to pull relevant posts, it relies on mySQL’s default engine and for some sites, it might not be a good fit.
