• on the pro side, free version integrates w/ mailchimp, although an option for email notification for forms tied to that integration would’ve been nice. as a noob, I was able to add a form to a page w/o much trouble.

Email notification for other forms didn’t seem to work out of the box, unlike other plugins such as wordfence. Annoying messages and cartoon animal. Generally overwrought if you need something simple.

    Hi @408wij,

Thank you for sharing your honest feedback.

And, I’m sorry to hear that you’re having issues with email delivery.?

To troubleshoot the issue, you can check that your form notification settings are configured correctly by following our tutorial.

If your notification settings are correct, the issue is likely because the emails sent from WordPress are not authenticated (unlike emails sent directly from dedicated email service providers). As a result, they are likely to be filtered by the receiving mail server.

In order to authenticate the emails sent through your website, the best solution is to use an SMTP plugin (that’s why we recommend it). That way, you’ll ensure all your emails are being sent successfully.

We have an article with a list of recommended SMTP options and links to their setup tutorials.

    I hope this helps!
