disappearing spam words

  • I just want to advise other wordpress users of a possible problem to watch for. We have been having disappearing spam words, words added to the comment moderation box, in 1.5.1.2. When the words disappear, one line is left and it says “-online” (without quotes). This morning, it happened again, so I replaced the words, saved, let several hours pass, and they disappeared again.

    This is possibly a security issue. I have not attempted to troubleshoot it, but will be keeping an eye on it.

    I also noted on one blog that the rpc ping list had been pared down to a single entry.
