Disappearing content when saving a page

  • Hello,

    I am currently helping an associate of mine with their resume webpage and on the testimonials section I noticed special characters being implemented in random parts of what was placed. When I went to change the characters out and save, all the content disappears then after.

    As a side note this site was previously hacked and I have reinstalled everything already and the error still persists.

  • Are you putting in the content with the visual editor or the text editor? If you paste content in the visual editor, it sometimes will paste special/other characters in.

    Actually, never paste Rich Text Content in either, it can contain malicious code.

    I did paste it into the visual editor but the issue now is when I try to update nothing is saved and all the content disappears. I have left the content there by restoring a previous version just so the page has fill.

    Can you erase all the content, save it, then add the content again?

    Can you create a (test) post or page by just typing a few words in the Visual Editor?
