• I’m no code expert, but I know enough to get around and make changes, copy/paste, ask questions. And I know how to manipulate code on the text editor on a standard WP page.

But I’m having an issue where if anyone logs into our page, and makes an edit on the visual editor, and then updates the page, the code vanishes!

It’s just a simple javascript pop up script.

I know enough now that we’ve been having the issue not to use the visual editor, and always use the code editor on this page, but the other users just want to change words or pictures…and when they do, the code disappears.

    Any experience with this?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • This is how the Classic Editor has always been, and can also be influenced by whether the user has the unfiltered_html capability or not.
I’m not sure if the new editor has the same problem.

So what is a good solution for this? Would we be better off with a pop up wordpress plugin?

It sounds like you need something to load the script just on that page, that is outside of the page content. Whether that is a function in a child theme, or a plugin that loads javascript on certain pages or a plugin that does the popup for you, I don’t know.
