    so, i put the short code into a text widget, and it works. the posts appear on the home page, just as i want them to.

    and then THEY DISAPPEAR. the whole thing just goes away. i trash the text widget and try it again.

    they may or may not appear. eventually, the posts will appear again, and then *poof* they’re gone.

    I’m guessing it’s a theme thing or plugin that’s doing that as a shortcode isn’t normally parsed in a text widget – just to be sure I tried it with twenty twelve and no plugins installed and it just output the shortcode itself: [ic_add_posts]

    Likely if the theme or a plugin is doing that they are probably responsible for it disappearing. Without a link to take a look at the output, I couldn’t be sure though.
