• Hi all,
I am developing a local wordpress website. I have installed wordpress in Xampp on Windows 10. Today I was adding a new page that suddenly got an error and then the site stopped working and admin left sidebar has disappeared. I can see only the Dashboard, Profile and collapse menu links. The front end site works pretty well but I can’t get access to pages and posts and back end doesn’t work at all.
I did a new installation with the old db but it didn’t change the result. I tried to rename the Plugin and theme directories but I wasn’t successful. I tried to reinstall but I recieve “Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page”.
Would someone help me? I’ve been working on this site for a few weeks and I don’t want to miss many hours of work.

    many thanks

  • Hi,
Can you share the details of the error you got while creating the page?

    Good day!

Please check the error logs on your server for a more specific error message and see why it’s failing. If you need help locating them, ask your hosting provider to help you with that.

If you cannot find error logs or if you don’t find any helpful info in the error logs, try Enabling debugging
