• I get constant spam messages being submitted through Contact Form 7 (that I can see via Flamingo) from addresses such as {random-name}@mail.ru.

I expected to be able to block all mail.ru email addresses from being able to submit contact forms based on the disallowed list documentation. But it seems adding mail.ru does not block these submissions.

These are still sent to “Spam” since they fail reCAPTCHA, but based on the documented disallowed list I expected them to go straight to trash.

Please can you fix partial matching in the “disallowed list” i.e. mail.ru should work instead of needing to specify [email protected].

So the spam messages are properly blocked. What is your problem now?

reCAPTCHA is identifying them as spam, but the mail.ru “disallowed list” matching is not working – based on your documentation these should go straight to “Trash”.

I have over 40k in this “Spam” section.

If a spam protection module (reCAPTCHA in this case) has already marked a message as spam, other spam protection modules do not need to re-inspect the message.

    Which documentation says so?

Interesting, so if I have reCAPTCHA enabled, “Disallowed Comment Keys” is bypassed? This is a shame, as I want messages that match any of the “Disallowed Comment Keys” rules to go straight to “Trash” instead of filling up my “Spam”.

    Which documentation says so?

    From your disallowed list page:

I have boldened the important parts:

When a comment contains any of these words in its (..) email (..) it will be put in the Trash. One word or IP address per line. It will match inside words, so “press” will match “WordPress”.
