Disallow MU users to use 1 theme

  • Hi there and good morning!

    I have the Miltisite feature activated on my WordPress blog and I’d want to disallow people to use 1 theme. Is this possible? Because if I want to use the theme on the ‘main site’ I have to activate it for everyone, which I don’t want.

  • Yes, that functionality is built in.
    1. Under Super Admin / Themes, make sure your main site theme isn’t enabled site-wide. This ensures other sites can’t use it.
    2. Under Super Admin / Sites, find the main site, choose Edit, and, under Site Themes, permit the theme to be used.

    Activate the themename of an existing theme and hit “Update Options” to allow the theme for this site.
