“Disallow by Tags” not working

I am trying to exclude posts from appearing in my YARPP results, and have added a specific tag to all pages I do not want to appear and have indicated this tag under “The Pool” -> “Disallow by tags” but this isn’t working. I have cleared the cache using the “Empty Cache” button at the bottom of the page.
