disabling xml-rpc causes 404 error for post previews

  • I started getting 404 errors on all post previews unless the posts had been scheduled. It turns out it was the disabled xml-rpc option in Clearfy. As soon as I re-enabled xml-rpc, the post previews work fine.

    Any ideas?

    update: it looks like the “optimize html” can also trigger this.

    Hmm.

    I think this might be down to Permalink structure?

    I created a post and went to ‘Preview’ it before publishing and it gave me a 404 when the Permalinks were left as default.

    After changing them, the preview worked fine.
