    Hi –

Thanks for this great plugin – it’s great to have a way to comprehensively disable all of the blog related functionality instead of just hiding the “Posts” admin menu item.

The only thing that’s causing an issue for me is the hiding/redirecting of the Settings > Writing admin menu item. Other plugins such as the Classic Editor plugin (and a custom plugin that I have written) sometimes add important settings to this panel that are not related to the blog functionality.

I’m now in the position where I have to disable your plugin, change the settings there and then re-enable the plugin – not ideal.

Is there a way to filter out the blog-specific settings like “Default Post Category” and “Post via email” but keep the Settings > Writing page active?

    Thanks for considering it.

    – Peter

    Peter,

Ah yes! I will pull off this entirely, I agree with your assessment – this is poor UX, especially with the new editor settings.

I’ll try to get a patch out this week.

    Thanks,
    Joshua

    Hey there,

Recent release, v0.4.5, fixes this issue. I’ve kept the old filter as a method for people to re-enable this functionality.

Let me know if you have any issues!

    Thanks,
    Joshua
