Disabling Plugin Took Site Offline

  • We are using the free tier of Cloudflare. We have 4.12.2 Cloudflare plugin installed. I disabled the plugin to troubleshoot another issue and site site completely disappeared instantly. I immediately received a page not found error. I was unable to log into the site and re-enable the plugin. I had to contact the hosting company and get them to reenable the plugin form the back end system.

    Why did thsi happen? Id this expected behavior? How can I prevent it in the future?
