Disabling plugin kills site content

    Hi all,

    Just FYI… If you’re on WP 5.x, there’s a tendency for plugins to be disabled after an update, requiring a manual restart (if there’s a way to avoid this please let me know!). If you update and the Schema plugin isn’t turned back on (automatically or manually), you can end up with a situation where only the <HEAD> and top menu of your site will load (I’m using SaturnThemes Indstry Theme).

    Since 5.0, I’ve seen various other plugins (some but not all) require manual restart after an update, so it’s not unique to Schema. However, I haven’t seen a turned off plugin cause this level of issue, at least in my unique experience.

    Does anyone know of a way to force WP 5.x to restart plugins after update so that they don’t inadvertently turn off?
