• Hello,

a WordPress user since a few years I am increasingly annoyed by plugin & theme notifications which keep popping up no matter how often I dismiss them (if I can at all). Currently half my screen is taken by those notifications and they pop up whenever I do something in the admin interface. I am currently doing a lot of work in the backend – that means clicking them away every few minutes to free screen space. I have cookies enabled and I whitelisted my website but both doesn’t make a difference.

I have seen that there are plugins available to remove notifications effectively, but having a big bunch of active plugins already I don’t want to add one more to the list.

Suggestion: please you find a way to stop plugin and theme developers misusing the admin notifications for sales, recommendations etc. . Also please create a dismiss function which earns its name so that dismissed notifications don’t come back within minutes.

I feel bad about complaining as I understand the entire wordpress development is done by volunteers in their spare time. Thanks for all your work and thanks for providing this fantastic CMS free of charge!
