I run a math/CS blog so I use QuickLatex to render math equations which makes them into many images. I was just checking out the lazy load feature to see what it did to my site, and I didn’t like it too much since the math equations (which were many times inline) would appear only after scrolling which I felt was disturbing to a reader. So I disabled lazy loading after that, but even after emptying all my caches and trying almost everything, the same effect of lazy loading remains on my sites.

One particular page with a lot of these math equations is this: https://balaramdb.com/2020/06/graph-theory-fundamentals/.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hello @balaramdb

I am sorry about the issue you are experiencing and I am happy to assist you with this.
I’ve checked your website and yes the lazy tag is added to the image. I don’t see that W3TC lazy loading is enabled. However when I’ve checked the image and it seems that WP QuickLaTeX is caching the images in wp-content/ql-cache/
Have you tried purging the cache after lazy loading was disabled?
Also, even tho I am seeing the lazy tag, I am not seeing the effect of lazy loading on any of the images on the provided page.
    Thanks!

Thanks Marko! Yes I did purge all caches from W3TC settings, so I don’t know if that affected wp-content/ql-cache as you said. I will check with WP QuickLatex if there’s something I can do there to fix it.

Is there some way to get rid of these loading = “lazy” tags?

    Hello @balaramdb
    Thank you for the information.
Purging the cache will not affect wp-content/ql-cache/ as this is not W3TC created folder and files.
The mentioned lazy tag is not being added by W3 Total Cache so possibly once the images are cached with WP QuickLaTeX they add a lazy tag, or, you should also consider that the latest WP 5.5 introduced a native lazy load.
    Thanks!
