    Hello

I enabled “New User Registration – For User” and the emails were working fine.

Then I wanted to go back to WordPress standard New User Registration emails.

So I disabled Edit > Disable Notification > Save.

But the standard WordPress New User Notifications never come through.

If I enable the BNFW email, the override works and I get the emails.

But if I disable the BNFW email, the fallback to standard WP functionality seems not to work.

Note that this doesn’t seem to be an issue with “Lost Password – For User” emails. When I disable them, they go right back to using the standard builtin wordpress emails.

    Hi @meadows19,
    Thanks for your message.

Yes, that’s correct. This is mentioned in the documentation on this page under the ‘Disabled Notification’ section.

If you want to restore the default WordPress notification functionality, you’ll need to change the notification type to something else, ensure it’s disabled, and then save it. Alternatively, you can delete the notification to restore default functionality.

I’ve logged the inconsistency in behaviour for the “Lost Password – For User” notification as a potential bug.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks,
    Jack
