• Hi, Good day. Got a question, is it okay to disable the Gutenberg editor by adding a line of codes in functions.php and installing the Classic Editor plugin? is it recommended by wordpress to install the Class Editor plugin? Thanks and God bless.

  • Installing the Classic Editor plugin is the recommended way of disabling the new block editor (formerly known as Gutenberg). No changes to functions.php should be necessary.

Thank you so much! Ive seen a video tutorial on YT about disabling the new block editor, where he added an additional line of codes in the functions.php file in the dashboard to disable the new block editor so I tried to post it here to know if its required or not.
