Disabling gateways action in PP/Stripe

    Question:

    When permanently disabling the payment gateways for PayPal and Stripe, is any further action required within the related PayPal or Stripe accounts? Or does using the disable gateway utility button within the plugin take care of everything?

    @avabusiness Thanks for reaching out with this question!

    If you have used these gateways in the past, disabling them in Charitable turns off (among other things) the webhooks so that these gateways cannot effectively communicate with Charitable. Further action depends on the context – disabling these does not in any way change settings, alter previous donations or remove webhooks from Stripe and Paypal. If you want to cleanly remove all connections you might need to remove webhooks or disable IPN, etc. from Stripe and Paypal.
