    Good morning,

SG Optimizer and SiteGround overall provide a great experience.

However, I keep having a problem with the Browser Caching setting and .htaccess files. The problem is simply this: When I deactivate Browser Caching on a WordPress site, it does NOT remove the Browser Caching rules from the .htaccess file. Thus Browser Caching remains in effect even when Browser Caching is deactivated on the SG Optimizer dashboard in the WP Dashboard.

    Why is this?

It’s a bug. We’ve recreated it and added a fix. It will be published in version 5.5.6. Thanks for reporting this!
