What happens if you disable a plugin? Does it keep the settings that you had, making them available when you reactivate it, or do you have to start all over again and input settings again?

I installed a few plugins after putting my Google AdSense code in, and now the AdSense won’t display. I have to disable extensions to troubleshoot and am concerned that my settings will be lost.

    Please advise. Thanks,
    Scott

Unfortunately, that depends entirely on the plugin developer. Some keep the settings in tact and others remove them when the plugin is deactivated.

If you’re ever concerned, it’s definitely a good idea to take a screenshot of the settings and copy/paste any text into a file on the side.

    James,
Thank you, brother. Yes, I’m a screenshot documenting fanatic. I screencap everything. I will certainly do that. Thanks!

Your handle is familiar. Have we met in another forum? Video cameras, perhaps?

I don’t recall, but I may have posted one question long ago on a video camera forum.

OK, I thought we frequented the same place. Cool.
