Disabled sitemap xml, but still redirects

Hello,

I disabled option to generate “XML – HTML Sitemap” via plugin ..
BUT still it redirects to sitemaps.xml which does not exist ..

found in file:

wp-seopress\src\Actions\Sitemap\Render.php
17: add_action('template_redirect', [$this, 'sitemapShortcut'], 1);
87: wp_safe_redirect(get_home_url() . '/sitemaps.xml', 301);

this is permanently working,
no matter if sitemap feature is enabled or disabled ..

can you fix it ?? thanks
