    Based on this: https://betternotificationsforwp.com/documentation/notifications/disable-default-wordpress-emails/

… I have assumed that we should be able to suppress the sending of transactional emails notifying users of email changes by doing the following:

    1. Create & save a notification for ‘User Email Changed – For User’
    2. Disable that notification

    This doesn’t seem to work.

I’ve verified that if the notification is enabled, the Better Notifications version of the notification will trigger & send in place of the system version. However, when I disable the BNFW notification, the system notifications are once again sent, not suppressed.

Is there something else I need to do?

[It’s important for us to do this because our SSO plugin checks the case of email addresses in user profiles and changes them to lower case if there are any upper case characters. This generates confusing emails to users.)

    Hi @ericscoles,
    Thanks for your message.

This sometimes can happen when another plugin is sending out the notification instead of it coming directly from WordPress, even if the contents of the email are the same as the original, default email.
How are you registering users on your site? Is it via the WP Admin, the default WP registration form, or a front-end form provided by a 3rd party plugin/theme?
