    Hello everybody!
I am writing to you because a few days ago this writing appeared on the WordPress dashboard (backend) in my web site:

    Important: Disabled firewall settings

The All in One Security plugin has deactivated some of the firewall settings that you had activated.

We have upgraded the following settings so that they are now part of the PHP firewall instead of .htaccess directives:

    • Completely block xmlrpc.php
    • Forbid proxy comment posting
    • Deny bad query strings
    • Advanced character filter

What would you like to do?

Reactivate? – Keep deactivated? – Configure manually?

    What is the best solution?
    Thank you very much
    A nice day
    Andrew

    Hi,

    Sorry about the delay.

In the past we have had issues where users had .htaccess features turned on, but they did not work on their server.

So by turning it on they had unknowingly blocked them selves from accessing their own site, but the feature did not work so they did not notice anything.

Then when we upgraded the rule from htaccess to PHP so that it works on all servers they were suddenly locked out.

To prevent this we started to temporarily turn the features off.

So you will want to turn the features on, then in another browser device check you can still access your site, if you can then theres nothing more to do.

    Best Wishes,

    Ashley
