Disable WP Notification blocks sending emails

    The plugin was installed to block WP News and Events. However, I found it blocks WP Mail SMTP from sending emails as well.

    Normally a confirmation appears when mail is sent but with the plugin installed there is no confirmation and the email is never sent.

    Update – I changed the setting to “Disable Notifications for all users except admin” and emails seem to working so far.

    My problem is even though the MySQL setting is max_allowed_packet=1073741824, planet.www.remarpro.com manages to cause a database error “Got a packet bigger than ‘max_allowed_packet’ bytes for query INSERT INTO wpfh1_options“.

    I’ve used WordPress for eight years but this problem only started a few months ago.
