woocommerce/assets/css/blocks/style.css should also be disabled from loading if Gutenberg block editor is disabled.

I agree but it would be necessary for that functionality to happen in the woo plugin or theme. There are numerous reasons for this including:

    – Not best practice to disable scripts/styles for other themes/plugins
    – Adds extra weight to the plugin (want to keep it as lightweight as possible)
    – Requires keeping up with woo development (which I do not do)
    – Opens door for same for any other plugins with Gutenberg scripts/styles
    – It is up to each plugin to effectively manage their own assets based on user input, et al

Hopefully the woo folks will be able to help ensure proper loading of their script/styles.

Let me know how it goes. Woo is very popular so I would consider adding an option to disable the woo block stylesheet. The option itself would not be enabled by default.

Luke, after investigating further I’m not seeing any specific block styles loaded for WooCommerce. For example, you mention this is loaded:

    woocommerce/assets/css/blocks/style.css

..but I am not seeing it when DG is enabled. I’ll keep an eye on this thread for any future updates. Glad to add an option to disable whatever Gutenberg/block-related scripts/styles that are not needed.
